St. Paul's           E-pistle          April 7, 2016 This Sunday, April 10th Third Sunday of Easter The disciples make a big splash and breakfast with the risen Jesus in the gospel. Wading in the water (remembering our baptism) and eating with Jesus (celebrating the holy communion) is our weekly encounter with the risen Christ. Jesus asks us, with Peter, again and again: Do you love me? And Jesus invites us, again and again, to follow him, bringing the Easter life to others. Holy Communion - 11 AM   All are welcome to receive Communion! Installation of Reverend Dr. Dawn Roginski Sunday, May 22, at 3 pm.  We are expecting 100-plus guests for this day of celebration.  Pr. Carlton Monroe has been invited by Pr. Dawn to deliver the sermon at her installation. Friends of Pr. Dawn from the Vallejo Choral Society, where Pr. Dawn sings alto, and choir members and musicians from Holy Trinity will participate in special music on this festive day. The Dean of the Sierra Pacific Synod will preside at the service of installation and clergy from across the Synod will be there to celebrate with Pr. Dawn and wish her well.   Brown Bag Meal Ministry Remember the hungry on street corners and elsewhere by having a Brown Bag Meal handy in your car to offer these folks.  The bags are available for pick-up at church, along with envelopes to donate the $4.00 it costs to fill a bag.  The donation, however, is optional.  Please record your name, the date, and number of bags you take.  Give generously and joyfully!  HAPPENING IN THE COMMUNITY VALLEJO CROP HUNGER WALK SATURDAY, APRIL 23 VISIT THEIR WEBSITE     WALK.  GIVE.  CHANGE THE WORLD.      CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations or groups to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world.  We are looking for walkers and sponsors to join our team.  See Cynthia Bettini for more information and to sign-up.
