Update on Pastor Crystal!

Good Afternoon Members and Friends of United in Grace Lutheran Church: Thank you all for your many prayers on behalf of Pastor Crystal after her terrible accident yesterday!  She is home recovering, thank God, and when I spoke with her this morning, was amazed at how well she sounded!   As a way of updating everyone on how she is doing, below is what Pr. Crystal posted on her Facebook page (there are also pics if you want to go to her page…) "This morning I'm giving God all the thanks, all the glory to be alive. I was in a horrible car accident driving home from my last chaplain visit yesterday evening. I was driving on the freeway, all normal - going speed limit - steady traffic: then like a bat out of hell I was hit with extreme force from behind by a semi truck. My car flew across lanes into the left median wall. At some point another car hit me, hard, on the drivers side door. My car was flung into the right median wall where I stopped. All air bags deployed. I smelled smoke. I couldn't get out the drivers side. I crawled out my right passenger side. Grabbed my work bag sitting on the floor. Was missing my left shoe. Cuts and all. Frightened beyond belief. Standing on the side of the freeway calling out to God for help. A Good Samaritan man walked up to me, he pulled over to help. Called the cops. The driver of the semi, and the other (now realize it was a truck) were arguing over what happened. Someone cut the other off "and you hit her from behind!" Was taken in ambulance to the hospital. I'm internally ok, praise God! The cat scan was an interesting experience. Externally cut and bruised up. The hospital sent me home. Internally thankful God sustained my life. I can't sleep right now, in shock and pain. Please hold me in your prayers and good thoughts. Oh, and great attorney recommendations would be welcomed.
