This Sunday, January 10th
Baptism of Our Lord

Holy Communion - 10 AM
All are welcome to receive Communion!
The Baptism of Our Lord cannot help but recall our own and all baptismal blessings.  We recall and celebrate our adoption as daughters and sons, the gift of the Holy spirit, and the promised company of almighty God when we "pass through the waters....the rivers....fire." On this day the heavens open again, for this assembly, and we receive the gift of the beloved Son of God in bread and wine.

Sunday's Readings:
 Isaiah 43:1-7        Psalm 29     Acts 8:14-17      Luke 3:15-17, 21-22

Sunday's chancel flowers: are given to the glory of God.

Happening Around St. Paul's

Calling All Pancake and Sausage Lovers
Sunday February 7th, the Sunday before Ash Wednesday, will be St. Paul's "Fat Sunday" celebration.  We will enjoy a pancake and sausage luncheon after the service.  We are calling for volunteers, both guys and gals, to cook and help with this fun event.  Please consider how you can serve.  See Karen Spears.  Sign-up sheets will available this Sunday.

Brown Bag Meal Ministry
Remember the hungry on street corners and elsewhere by having a Brown Bag Meal handy in your car to offer these folks.  The bags are available for pick-up at church, along with envelopes to donate the $4.00 it costs to fill a bag.  The donation, however, is optional.  Please record your name, the date, and number of bags you take.  Give generously and joyfully!
