November 20, 2015 This Sunday, November 22nd  Reign of Christ  Holy Communion - 10 AM   All are welcome to receive Communion! Even after Israel had experienced the vagaries of kings, they still longed for a true king to set things right. He would have the king's title of Anointed One (Messiah); he would be the "one like a human being" (Son of Man) given dominion in Daniel's vision. Jesus is given the title, even though he is nothing like an earthly king. His authority comes from the truth to which he bears witness, and those who recognize the truth voluntarily listen to him. We look forward to the day he is given dominion, knowing his victory will be the nonviolent victory of love. Sunday's readings:   Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14; Psalm 93; Revelation 1:4b-8; John 18:33-37    Happening Around St. Paul's You can help hungry people in our community! Often, we see hungry people on center dividers and street corners, with signs asking for help -- and we don't know how best to help. Pick up a nutritious bag meal at St. Paul's on Sunday for only $4.00 -- the cost of producing it -- and you'll be prepared to give help when it's needed most!   Join us for our annual Thanksgiving potluck this Sunday,  Immediately following worship!  Every year, we share a great meal together before the hectic holiday season begins. There's a place for you at our annual Thanksgiving potluck, regardless of whether you brought something to share!     Calling all kids!  During December, kids will have the opportunity to use their         artistic creativity during worship. We'll create an advent wreath, make special Christmas tree ornaments, and more.. All kids are welcome!
